🇵🇸 We invite you to join us for the launch of the new song by young artist Zain Abu Daqqa, on the first anniversary of the martyrdom of his father, AlJazeera journalist Samer Abu Daqqa, in Gaza.

Over the years, Samer not only supported his son Zain’s musical journey but also filmed, wrote, and helped produce many of his songs and music videos. This particular song, however, stands as a final message from Samer, embodying his lifelong dedication to amplifying Palestine’s story and passing on his commitment to truth and justice. Before his passing, he recorded a voice note asking Zain to sing a pre-recorded song about Palestine—his final wish. Produced in early 2024, this song will be the centerpiece of the upcoming event, with Zain’s family present to support him during this important milestone in his career.

During this event, Zain will present his new song and join rapper Harris G for a discussion on the role of music in addressing humanitarian issues, and how art can be a powerful tool to convey messages of hope and resilience.
