As part of Indonesian Workshop Month in Qatar this September, Years of Culture invite you to discover the traditional Indonesian art of Batik at one of our upcoming events in Doha.

The workshop at the Museum of Islamic Art will begin with an introduction to the techniques used in Batik, with participants learning how to design a unique pattern using wax. 

Then, handmade natural dyes will be applied to colour the material and complete the Batik effect. At the end of the workshop, every guest will be able to take their custom designed, shawl-sized material home.
