The 2025 Sheikh Saoud Annual Lecture will be held in conjunction with A Seat at the Table, part of MIA’s ongoing collaboration with LACMA. This year’s lecture will be delivered by Dr. Linda Komaroff, Curator and Department Head of Islamic Art at LACMA, whose scholarship and curatorial vision have shaped the field. Drawing on her acclaimed exhibition Dining with the Sultan, Dr. Komaroff will explore the intersections of art, culture, and hospitality in the Islamic world, offering audiences fresh perspectives that bridge history and the present.
