OUT OF TIME: Rashid Diab and Nedim Kufi Exclusive Preview

Al Hosh Gallery presents Out of Time: Rashid Diab and Nedim Kufi, an exhibition reflecting on the repetition of daily life, the suspension of time, and our shifting relationship to its passage. Sudanese painter and printmaker Rashid Diab, celebrated for his mastery of watercolor, depicts figures wandering through desolate landscapes. These figures move beyond the present, leaping across the picture plane into future temporalities, reflecting on Sudan’s political realities. In counterpoint, Iraqi-Dutch designer Nedim Kufi explores letters, words, and visual lexicons, inviting viewers to imagine new constellations of meaning and alternate worlds that language can hold. Together, their works suspend time, where figures and abstract alphabets drift outside linear chronology, displacing both artist and viewer, leaving presence suspended — within and beyond the work on display.
