A guided tour of the Maker Space showcasing the progress of the Munay Sisters’ yarn research and development. Visitors will have the opportunity to test the yarns, explore their potential when combined with natural fibers, and witness traditional hand-weaving techniques. This event aims to spark dialogue around innovation in sustainable materials within the fashion industry. During this visit, we seek to bring the community closer to the creative process of the designers taking over the space, including research, sample development, and design exploration. 

Project Background: Makers’ Space Takeover at M7, inviting a designer from Chile for a creative “takeover.” The takeover will offer full access to M7’s advanced production and digital fabrication facilities, while also engaging the wider community through an open studio day. This hands-on experience will serve as a cultural bridge, supporting knowledge sharing, skill development, and the celebration of Latin American craftsmanship and innovation within Qatar’s design ecosystem.
