Get to Know Ellsworth Kelly
Ellsworth Kelly was one of the most influential artists of our time. The American abstract painter and sculptor was best known for his exploration of the relationships between form, colour, line and space.
In anticipation of the ‘Ellsworth Kelly at 100’ first-ever retrospective exhibition this October at M7, this workshop is the first in the series of public programmes dedicated to the exhibition.
In this hands-on workshop, children will be introduced to the influential works of Ellsworth Kelly. They will create their own abstract compositions using color-by-number technique. Each student will be provided with an abstract drawing and assign colors to numbers to form their unique composition. After completing their artworks, the students will discuss how this style of composition made them feel both creative and as observers. This workshop is designed to inspire young minds and cultivate a deeper appreciation for design and art.
