Fikr Series: الدين والفلسفة في الفكر الإسلامي
يسرّ وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي دعوتكم لحضور ندوة بعنوان "الدين والفلسفة في الفكر الإسلامي"، وذلك في إطار سلسلة "فكر" التي تنظمها الوزارة بهدف تعزيز الحوار الفكري في الأوساط الأكاديمية، وتحفيز التواصل ما بين صُناع القرار، والخبراء، والطلبة.
تستعرض الندوة التفاعل الحيوي ما بين الدين والفلسفة في الفكر الإسلامي، والمقاربة التي اتبعها الفلاسفة المسلمون تجاه النصوص الدينية، وتفسيراتهم للمفاهيم الدينية الكبرى. وستقف عند محاولات الفلاسفة المسلمين في مقاربة النصوص، ورؤيتهم لمفهوم العقل في ضوء الوحي، ومساعيهم الحثيثة لصوغ رؤية متوازنة تجمع بين العقل والنقل، بلا استلابٍ لمرجعيات وافدة من الغرب، بل استجابةً للتحولات الفكرية والاجتماعية التي شهدتها المجتمعات الإسلامية عبر العصور.
سيدير الندوة كلٌّ من بول وليامز، الزميل المشارك في معهد بيركلي للدراسات الإسلامية، و الدكتور محمد المختار الشنقيطي ،أستاذ الأخلاق السياسية وتاريخ الأديان في جامعة قطر. كما سيشارك في النقاش كوكبةٌ من المختصين، منهم الدكتور ثائر الحلاق، المتخصص في علم الكلام والفكر الإسلامي، و الدكتور إدوارد مود، أستاذ الفلسفة في قسم العلوم الإنسانية بجامعة قطر، المتخصص في الفلسفة الإسلامية وعلم الأخلاق المقارن.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education is pleased to invite you to attend a seminar titled “Religion and Philosophy in Islamic Thought”, as part of the Ministry’s Fikr series which aims to foster intellectual dialogue in academic circles and encourage communication between policymakers, experts, and students.
The discussion will focus on the dynamic relationship between religion and philosophy in Islamic thought, highlighting their harmony as a shared pursuit of wisdom and faith within a unified philosophical framework. The seminar will also examine how Muslim philosophers have engaged with religious texts and sought to establish doctrinal concepts. Additionally, in response to the social and intellectual shifts that have shaped Islamic societies throughout history, the seminar will explore how Islamic philosophy has cultivated a balanced approach to reason and revelation, preserving its intellectual independence without disregarding Western influences.
The seminar will be moderated by Dr. Mohamed El-Moctar Al Shinqiti, Professor of Political Ethics and History of Religions at Qatar University, and Paul Williams, Associate Fellow at the Berkeley Institute for Islamic Studies. Distinguished speakers include Dr. Thaer Alhallak, a leading expert in Islamic theology and thought, and Dr. Edward Moad, Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Humanities at Qatar University, specialising in Islamic philosophy and comparative moral epistemology.
