Step into the world of archaeology for a day at the live excavation sites of Ain Mohammed and Mesaika. Meet the archaeologists behind the research and discover how new findings reveal stories of daily life, craft production, and historical landscapes in early Islamic Qatar.

Gain insight into how archaeology works in practice. Guided by experts on site, participants will learn about the tools, techniques, and research methods used to interpret discoveries — including recent finds from Abbasid-period textile workshops.

Important Information

• Capacity is strictly limited; only registered participants will be allowed to join.
• Suitable for adults and families. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Participants are required to arrange their own transportation to the site. Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
• The sites are outdoors with uneven terrain. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a sunhat, sunscreen, and a water bottle.
• The nearest restrooms are located approximately a five-minute drive away.
